Lotus Light is part of the Padmasambhava Peace Institute, an educational non-profit providing retreat and study facilities in northern California. The Institute was established in 2003 by Jigme Tromge Rinpoche, son of Tibetan Buddhist master the late His Eminence Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche, and is home to a residential volunteer community that practices Tibetan Buddhism in the lineages established by H.E. Besides hosting Buddhist events, we serve a wide range of healing, educational, environmental and spiritual groups at our beautiful and exquisitely peaceful rural retreat center Black Mountain Center. Our mission is to provide an inspiring and supportive space for reflection, training, exploration and personal restoration. We believe that stepping away from busy, often stressful lives for retreat or professional development is an enriching opportunity that should be available to all, and we are committed to providing affordable retreat facilities to anyone interested.
Proceeds from Lotus Light go towards supporting ongoing activity at the Padmasambhava Peace Institute, as well as the broader range of activities undertaken by Jigme Tromge Rinpoche in his work as an ordained Buddhist teacher throughout North and South America and Asia. Much of the Lotus Light’s inventory has been carefully sourced by Jigme Rinpoche himself, particularly the sacred images and statues. These items are brought to you with the intention that whatever you purchase will connect you with the blessings that the great wisdom lineages hold. Besides the online store, shoppers are welcome at the physical store that lives on-site at the Padmasambhava Peace Institute.
