Description
This round gau is 1 inch in diameter which provides a good amount of interior space for precious objects. It is colorful with red and blue stripes and is adorned with an OM syllable in Tibetan script on the front and an Endless Knot on the back. The gau opens and closes smoothly and securely.
Gau: Tib. གའུ gau, is a Tibetan amulet or locket that contains holy relics, prayers, images, and other sacred substances. Smaller gau can be worn around the neck while larger ones are placed on shrines.
