Description
This pendant is on one side a mirror and the other the image of a the multi-armed Prajnaparamita Buddha. The Prajnaparamita mantra is written on both sides in Landza script. The Prajnaparamita means “the perfection of wisdom” and the mirror is a metaphor for the discerning and clear qualities of the mind.
gau: Tib. གའུ gau, is a Tibetan amulet or locket that contains holy relics, prayers, images, and other sacred substances. Smaller gau can be worn around the neck while larger ones are placed on shrines.
Lanza Script: An ancient calligraphic form of Sanskrit that often adorns holy books and objects with mantra.
